Derek Jeter Auto from 2021 Topps Rip Pulled at Vintage Breaks [VIDEO]

Derek Jeter is kind of a big deal at Vintage Breaks. So much so that he is allowed to pop in unannounced like characters on Seinfeld. In March, he appeared twice with us when we pulled a Derek Jeter 2022 Topps Diamond Greats Auto, and his 1993 Upper Deck SP Rookie Card. Now, a Derek Jeter auto numbered to 10 was pulled from 2021 Topps Rip! What makes this card cooler is that it was hiding inside a Gerrit Cole rip card. What’s a rip card? We’re glad you asked.

2021 Topps Rip is the second year Topps has produced this product but rip cards have been part of Topps Allen & Ginter for years. A rip card has a mini-card inside but the only way to get the mini-card is to rip the card by pulling a tab on the back. Now, this is the fun part. Do you rip it? Do you keep the card intact? Topps does not make this decision easy. On one hand, if you decide to rip the card, which may be of a player you like to collect, you could be rewarded with an autograph of a current star like Mike Trout or a Hall of Famer like Derek Jeter. On the other hand, the temptation to rip could leave you with much regret.

Now, I will ask you again. Do you rip or keep it?
