Derek Jeter 2022 Topps Diamond Greats Auto Pulled by Vintage Breaks

“Holy moly! HOLY MOLY!” were the emphatic words of Chris Gilmore as he pulled a Derek Jeter Autograph card numbered 5/10 in a recent break of 2022 Topps Baseball Series 1. While the hype surrounding Topps’ latest flagship release is mainly due to the Wander Franco rookie card, other big hits are also a possibility that include short prints and variations. The Derek Jeter Auto is a beautiful Diamond Greats die-cut card and since it is numbered to 10, it is one of the harder cards to pull.

Derek Jeter Auto Makes an Appearance at Vintage Breaks South! The lucky collector is Robert Oldaker who was taking advantage of our interactive experience by watching the break live and chatting with fellow card enthusiasts like yourself in real time. It was definitely Robert’s day as he had mentioned in the chat that he had “Just bought the last 4 of the 2022 Topps.” Those last 4 spots he purchased landed him in spots 3,4,6, and 7 of the break. With those spots, Robert landed himself a Wander Franco rookie card in spot 3, the Jeter Auto in spot 4, and a second Franco rookie in spot 6 and as the old saying goes, “The crowd goes wild”.

The Jeter auto is a Diamond Greats Die-Cuts autograph numbered to 10!

Participants in the chat expressed their excitement as Gilmore did just moments earlier. The comments ranged from “Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” to “Congrats” to “Holy crap”, but Robert remained silent which led Gilmore to say “I think Robert passed out.” We don’t know how long Robert was out for, but when he came to, he was probably laughing hysterically.
