1955 Topps All-American Football PSA Pack Break With Vintage Breaks

Imagine owning a pack-fresh Jim Thorpe card, or perhaps being the first owner of a card of The Four Horsemen. Your chance is here today with a 1955 Topps All-American Football cello pack! This PSA-graded pack, sealed for a half Century, is ready to be broken for you.

When you come to Vintage Breaks, we deliver on the VINTAGE! This spectacular pack break is for a 1955 Topps All-American cello pack. These cards rolled out of the Topps factory 69 years ago and have haven't seen the light of day since. PSA graded this pack a 7, and there are 20 cards inside.

When Topps produced the All-American set in 1955, the cards were slightly larger than your standard card size today; each card is 2-5/8" by 3-5/8". For comparison, a standard card is 2-1/2" by 3-1/2". The set is loaded with historic names - here is a handful of players in the set:

  • Jim Thorpe
  • Knute Rockne
  • Four Horsemen
  • Red Grange
  • Otto Graham
  • Sammy Baugh
  • Sid Luckman
  • Tom Harmon

Topps created a card set geared towards Heisman Trophy winners and players in the Hall of Fame. The entire set is just 100 total cards, and this cello pack has 20 cards inside!

New call-to-action

New call-to-action

The top card in the cello pack is Larry Kelly, winner of the 1936 Heisman Trophy.  You can see the All-American logo on the bottom left of the Kelly card. A bright, red background  draws your eyes in, then you see a classic, black and white action picture in the background. The back of the cello pack has Bruiser Kinard, a member of the College and Pro Football Hall of Fame! Will either of 18 cards in between be a Jim Thorpe? Maybe the Four Horseman?  We're a little excited to hunt a Tom Harmon, father of Mark Harmon of NCIS fame. Gibbs!

You're never guaranteed a PSA 10 card, but the best chance has to be from a sealed pack. Checking the PSA pop report, some cards in the set have zero PSA 10 examples. Few cards have been graded PSA 9, too. We're excited to break this pack for you and pull history.

Just in time for the CFP National Championship game on Monday night, we go back to a time when gas was 20 cents per gallon, Rock Around the Clock was the hit song on radio, and I Love Lucy was on the tube.
