The 1909-11 T206 tobacco set is one of the most iconic sets in the hobby. Tobacco companies placed advertisements for their products on the back of the baseball cards, and then inserted a card into their tobacco. When you were a kid, you would rip into wax pack and find a stick of gum with your cards. Your grandparents found their baseball cards in packs of cigarettes! My how times have changed.

The cards you see in the pictures here are a few of the exact cards in the break. Above you'll see a the Chief Bender, Ty Cobb, and Tris Speaker cards. All three Hall of Famer cards have been professionally graded by SGC. Look at the color scheme in the sky behind Ty Cobb as he holds his bat in the middle card; fascinating color for a card produced over 100 years ago! Cobb had some stellar seasons when the T206 cards were produced. In 1909, he won the Triple Crown by leading the league in batting average, home runs, and RBI. He followed that up in 1910 with a .382 batting average. In 1911, Cobb won the MVP award. Talk about a HIT in this break!
