NBA Slam Dunk Champion Spud Webb Joins Vintage Breaks and Opens Packs

Basketball icon and Slam Dunk champion, Spud Webb, joined us to tell stories about his career and open packs of cards live on the show. Watch the video to hear Spud tell us how he got picked to be in the dunk contest and see if he pulls any big cards from his pack!

While we were breaking live from The Philly show, NBA star Spud Webb sat down with Leighton to talk about winning the 1986 Slam Dunk contest while standing at just 5'7" tall, his career, playing against Michael Jordan and opening up a pack of 1989 Fleer looking for his own card. Doc Rivers told him he'd never live down winning the dunk contest as a rookie in 1986. You DO instantly think of Spud winning the contest and forget he played 800 games in the NBA over a 12-year span! Spud could hoop, though, and his stats back that up. You can't play 800 games in the NBA if all you could do is dunk a few times during All-Star weekend.
