Gary Vaynerchuk Eats Gum from 1972 Topps Basketball Pack During Break

Friend of Vintage Breaks, Gary Vaynerchuk, sat down to open vintage wax packs with the big cheese, Leighton Sheldon. We hoped to find a pack-fresh Dr. J rookie card from a 1972 pack, but what happened instead made our jaws hit the floor. Gary V ATE THE GUM. Gary V invited Leighton up to his office at VaynerMedia to open vintage wax packs. Leighton brought some basketball presents to Gary including a sealed 1972 Topps wax pack to break. Gary is a big card collector! You may remember he was in our 2003 Topps Black Chrome Refractor set break and tried to buy the LeBron James rookie on the spot in the break from the customer, Rob G, that landed that puppy! See Rob's response HERE! We were thrilled to bust '72 wax with Gary, looking for a Dr. J rookie card. What actually happened, though, prompted Leighton to make this face:

In the pack, Gary pulled a rookie card of Hall of Famer, Artis Gilmore. NICE pull, Gary! The Gilmore rookie is overshadowed by Gary eating that gum isn't it? We couldn't stop laughing.
