Cal Ripken, The Iron Man, is widely known for his consecutive games played streak; Ripken didn't miss a start for 2,632 straight games! There is so much more to the first-ballot Hall of Famer than games played, though. Ripken tallied 3,184 hits, two MVP awards, a pair of Gold Gloves, 19 All-Star games, and won a World Series with the Baltimore Orioles in 1983. During a break this week, JK and Matty Ice thought they were hunting for the 1982 Topps TRADED Cal Ripken. In 1982 Topps released a boxed set to reflect roster moves such as trades or rookie coming into the league. Sort of what the Topps "Update" series is today. In the Traded set, Cal has a solo card. However, this break was from a 1982 Topps wax pack where big hit is Ripken's true rookie, one of which he shares with Bob Bonner and Jeff Schneider. The boys quickly realized they pulled THE HIT of the set!
