One of the unique breaks we're able to offer you here at Vintage Breaks that you won't find anywhere else is a complete, vintage set break. We just broke an iconic set of 1933 Goudey baseball cards including FOUR Babe Ruth cards. If you missed live break, we have the results here for you! You can see how are set breaks work, and how to join in on our next big set break.

1933 GOUDEY SET BREAK

The 1933 Goudey baseball set has 240 cards in full and were released at a tough time here in the US; the middle of the Great Depression. Goudey releasing the card set was a risk during a time when most anyone could barely afford a few cents on such luxury like the pack of gum these cards were distributed in. The checklist is stocked with stars, In fact, there are FOUR different Babe Ruth cards in the 1933 set, and two Lou Gehrig cards.

While all eyes are on the Ruth and Gehrig cards, you'll also find legends such as Jimmy Fox, Mel Ott, Eddie Collins, and the highly-sought after Mo Berg. Berg had an average career in baseball, tallying 441 hits, but his post-baseball job was as a SPY for the US Government. The man spoke as many as 12 different languages and was sent to possibly assassinate a physicist named Werner Heisenberg if Berg could determine that he was close to making an atomic bomb. Paul Rudd played Berg in the movie The Catcher Was a Spy. Collectors are always interested in the 1933 Goudey Moe Berg card.

We took our time to show you each card in the set break; this way you could see the exact card you take home. When you hold the card in your hands, you'll feel the history! Back to a time when a dozen eggs set you back 21 cents, a ticket to a baseball game was 35 cents, and a new house could be purchased for $5,000.

VIDEO OF THE BREAK

James "The Threat" Ector had multiple spots in the break and took home a few MONSTER cards! Jim is the proud owner of #144 Babe Ruth and card #162, Lou Gehrig. When we called Jim, he couldn't believe it! Congrats, Jim!

Also adding Babe Ruth cards to their collections are Andrew Blevins with card #53, Jason Kneller #149, and Nick Mattiachi #181.

Chef Ted Hallson landed Lou Gehrig #92. One of our newest break-a-maniacs, Jeffrey Reynolds, had the beginner's luck on his side with a Jimmy Fox heading his way. "Double E", a long-time break-a-maniac has a sharp-looking Jim Bottomley in his possession now.

We are so happy for each of you in this break! An original 1933 Goudey card from a complete set is now yours.
